We believe God called us to adopt so we can experience His perfect plan for our lives. Since we adopted our first son, Andrew, we believe this was designed by God and it was truly His 'Plan A' for us. Before getting married we talked about adoption; Angelis expressed the desire of adopting someday and Jason immediately said that he thought it was a wonderful idea. Our initial idea was to have one biological child and then adopt a second. A year into marriage we decided to get pregnant, but found out that it would be difficult...at best. Right away we decided that we would adopt instead of trying different treatments. It was a natural conclusion for us and we felt peaceful about it.
Now Andrew is 27 mo. and we have learned so much through this experience! We have learned that we could bond instantly with a child not born of your own, because it is all about God's plan, not biology! We have reflected on how imparting good values and the love of Jesus Christ are more important legacies than complexion and eye color. Most of all, this experience has deepened our understanding of God's love, as WE are adopted into His family and know how precious that is!
