We have a beautiful, baby boy who we named Isaac Mateus. He was born February 26, at 8:35 am, weighing 6 lb, 12 oz and 20 1/4 inches.
He has quite a birth story! He was going to be induced around 5 pm on the 26th, but he was impatient and decided to come earlier. So, Isaac's lovely birthmother woke up with contractions that morning and barely made it to the hospital. In fact, this brave young woman gave birth in the front seat of a car in the parking lot of the hospital, all by herself. By the time the hospital staff showed up, she was holding him in her hands!! Birthmother and baby were fine.
When we received a call and knew that Isaac was born, we were in the midst of house cleaning! So we left everything behind, dropped Andrew at our friend's house and rushed to the hospital.
When we saw Isaac Mateus he was sleeping deeply - which he does quite frequently!- and we started taking care and loving on him. Immediately we were in awe of how beautiful he is!
