We have been adjusting to our new reality of being a family of four. Everyday is a new adventure, as we get to know Isaac, his likes/dislikes and sleep patterns. He is on goat's milk and seems to be taking it pretty well. He eats a lot, and has gained some weight (he is about 7 pounds now). We found out he is not lactose intolerant (as biologically there were chances he could be), since one of the milk based formulas we tried before goat's milk worked. He was getting constipated, though, and when we switched to goat's milk he improved in that 'matter' :)
He still sleeps most of the time, but his periods of wakeness has been longer each day. At night he sleeps too, but usually it is a lighter sleep. Jason has no problems falling sleep, but I am still waking up everytime he moves so my sleep hasn't improved :(
Isaac started to have some fussiness/colic in the evening usually from 9pm - 12 am. However he has been responding to our soothing and it has not happened again in the last 4 days, so we are pretty hopeful that it went away.
Andrew is being more and more affectionate with the baby, stopping his playing time here and there just to come and kiss Isaac. He also likes to gently rub his cheeks on the baby's hair. He is still adjusting though, which we see in separation anxiety episodes. Every time we try to leave him in day care (church or in the club where we used to work out) he cries and protests very hard. He had passed that phase, but seemed to regress and we think it is part of the changes he has experienced lately with moving, the coming of baby brother and my mom staying with us.
